The BFAR – National Seaweed Technology Development Center (NSTDC) conducted a National training last March 27 – 31, 2023 entitled “National Training on Laboratory-based Culture of Ulva spp. Technical staff from BFAR – operated Seaweed Culture Laboratories were present. The BFAR NSTDC in collaboration with the National Fisheries Research and Development Institute-Fisheries Postharvest Research and Development Division (NFRDI-FPRDD) facilitated the “Workshop on Cascading of Technology-based Innovations and Enterprise Development” last November 10,2022. The BFAR-National Seaweed Technology Development Center Signed the Memorandum of Agreement with the Sorsogon State University as part of their collaborative project entitled “Enhancing the Development and Growth of Seaweed-based Enterprises in Sorsogon (EDGES)”. This project is in partnership with the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation (PCIC).
