Workshop on Cascading of Technology-based Innovations and Enterprise Development

MOA Signing between BFAR-NSTDC, SorSu and PCIC

The BFAR-National Seaweed Technology Development Center Signed the Memorandum of Agreement with the Sorsogon State University as part of their collaborative project entitled “Enhancing the Development and Growth of Seaweed-based Enterprises in Sorsogon (EDGES)”. This project is in partnership with the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation (PCIC).

This inter-agency workshop was participated by BFAR RFO-V, BFAR-Sorsogon, LGU-Sorsogon, Fisherfolk People’s Organization from Sorsogon and discussed the agenda and benefits of the proposed project involving the developmental studies on seaweed-based products such as, the Village Level Processing Projects for agar and seaweed puree production.
